The e-book business is undergoing a boom, and the surge in sales of medical ebooks is the most important reason for it.
While e-reader sales peaked in 2014, the market for e-readers is still relatively small, according to a survey by Nielsen and Technomic.
That said, medical ebook sales have been growing at a faster rate than the rest of the industry, which has seen a surge in tablet sales and an increase in ebook sales.
The medical ereader market is expected to be worth $5.5 billion by 2020, according the survey.

Amazon, on the other hand, is expected only to add $1 billion in sales to the medical e market.
But e-liquids, the most popular medical e reader, is projected to grow the fastest, by around 1% a year.
That alone could make medical e readers worth as much as $100 billion, according Nielsen.
The rise of the medical eBook market is also seen as a good sign for the ereader industry.
E-books have a low price tag, which is often the case when it comes to tablets.
But Amazon’s Kindle Book is more expensive than e-sales in the past, and that makes medical e readers a good buy.
And because medical ereads are cheaper, medical users are more likely to keep using e-reads instead of tablets.
Amazon is also the leader in e-store sales, and a growing number of people are switching to Amazon’s e-stores.
Amazon’s growth in ereader sales, which include Kindle e-Books and eBooks for Kindle, has led to the development of new products.
Amazon has expanded its e-purchase platform with a new app called Kindle Now, and Amazon has also begun releasing books through its Kindle Cloud service.
Amazon also recently acquired e-textbook publisher Paperback Books, which provides e-learning materials for schools and colleges.
The ereader app and library service are the next logical step for Amazon.
