MSNBC has learned that the Blue Book a-store at Book Depository, a branch of the BlueBook Group, has no plans to offer bookseller service at any of its locations in the U.S. or Canada.
Book Depository is the online store of the UPC Bookstore chain, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to its website, Book Depositories stores are available across the U and Canada.
In its current incarnation, the Blue bookstore is a branch on the same property as Book Deporsts.
Bookdepository.com did not respond to a request for comment on the Blue Books lack of plans for a bookstore, but has a history of expanding in recent years.
In November, BookDepository.ca, a Toronto-based bookstore, announced plans to open its first U.K. branch, in Liverpool.
Last year, Bookdepository launched a U.N. mission for children’s books and was the first major bookstore to open a new book store in Canada.
In a statement to NBC News, Book depository said the company “will not be actively pursuing an additional book service.”
